History of FORSTA

2018 - TECHNICAL AND BUILDING PREPARATION

In 2018, PT. Enseval Medika Prima (EMP) develops product designs and designs for medical device manufacturing facilities in partnership with multiple stakeholders in Japan, South Korea, Italy, England, Belgium, and the United States. This is aligned with the KALBE Group's initiative to establish the KBIC (KALBE BUSINESS INOVATION CENTER) as a manufacturing facility in East Jakarta's Pulogadung Industrial Estate.

2019 - COMPANY ESTABLISHMENT

In response to the requirement for a business unit focused on medical device manufacturing, EMP's management established PT. Forsta Kalmedic Global (FORSTA) on May 8, 2019 as a company specializing in medical and diagnostic device manufacturing.

2020 - PRODUCT LICENSE

FORSTA facility located in KBIC Pulogadung has successfully obtained production license from Indonesian Ministry of Health.

2021 - COMMERCIAL PRODUCTION

FORSTA develops surgical sutures for commercial manufacturing and meets the criteria of the medical device quality management system based on the local GMP and ISO 13485:2016 standards.

2022 - CERTIFICATION

With all infrastructure, systems and procedures carefully designed following the requirements for international certification, FORSTA has obtained Halal Assurance System Certification from the Institute for the Study of Food, Drugs and Cosmetics – Indonesian Ulama Council (LPPOM – MUI) in June 2022. In addition, FORSTA has also received the ISO 13485 : 2016 Quality Management System Certification with the official MD number 756131 from BSI Group The Netherlands in July 2022. With the issuance of this certification, we are ready to contribute more in increasing national resilience for local medical device products and we are ready to be registered in regional markets.
